When I was a child, I just LOVED the book The Secret Garden. I wanted a magical place where I could play and dance and sing, just like Mary found.
I have found, as an adult, that I do have a magical place just like that – in me!
& you probably do too. Can you see it?
This secret garden is your BIG DREAM!
That’s something akin to… your vision, your purpose, your gift, your raison d’etre, your mission… Whatever you want to call it.
We ALL have one!
Now, what makes it secret is that sometimes we can’t see it at all.
It’s this HUGE, expansive, throbbing, glowing thing. It should be so easy to see and step into.
But our minds have built very elaborate ways to keep us out.
There is a series of labyrinthine, meandering tubes and huge bricks and blocks and bushes and things pushing and pulling us away. We turn to look and the garden isn’t anywhere in sight.
It’s hidden by a lot of bramble.
It can sometimes seem like it isn’t there at all.
But it IS there and it’s not so hard to get there.
BUT… to find it – you have to realize: It’s not about finding the way.
It’s about knowing that it’s right in front of you, all the time.
Just keep going down the path – not seeing, but KNOWING you are entering the garden now.
